Lingerie Shower

I’m going to back track a few months and share with you my sisters lingerie shower.
This was planned on short notice, so I searched around the house to see what I could find for inspiration…. I found a black table cloth, 1 white lace curtain panel, and these candle stick holders...

Pink and black were the chosen colors because well… they are sexy, right!?!
I bought the napkins and plates at Hobby Lobby (LOVE this store). If you need more than 1 pack of napkins and want some style buy a decorative pack and a solid color pack and mix them. The decorative ones are more expensive so this saves you a little money.

The candlestick holders needed some color… HOT PINK… When they dried I glued some upside down black oven eye covers (is that what they are called??) to them. I used 1 large  cover and 1 small cover. The black eye covers came in a pack of 4 for about $4.00. I put parchment paper on the top to put the truffles on.

Ok, so I hot glued one holder on top of the other with the parchment paper attached, are you still with me? This means that when I am done with them I just peel the parchment paper and glue apart and I still have 2 holders.  Although, if it was knocked over it would have all fallen apart… but I didn’t think about this at the time and it didn’t happen :)
I have seen these lingerie cookies around the web and just had to try them!
Aren’t they just awesome!!
Confession… I cheated... I bought some ready to bake cookie dough at the store. You know, the kind in a tube? I just didn’t trust myself to make the dough and I was pressed for time. I started off with a metal heart shaped cookie cutter but found out fast that I needed to warp it to make the shape I was going for.

The panty cookies are the heart shape with the point cut off.  My sister decorated them and she did an awesome job!

Here it is all put together...

There was a lot more food on other tables....  I am so thankful for the family and friends that helped out with the food and getting everything set up!

  1. I looked at this and thought.. how many ugly wooden candle holders have I personally thrown away? Great job!! Just goes to show that you can have great decorations even on a limited budget.
